GQ feature 23 Beak Street in their Jan issue!

The new issue of GQ hit the news stands this week and they have done a nice little feature of the shop!

WHAM BAM, THANK YOU ALBAM

"Weekend getaways, the idea of escaping the city and heading for the coast." That's the inspiration behind Albam's autumn / winter collection and, by osmosis, the aesthetic for its first store, an east coast oasis of blonde wood and simple textures. Having built up a solid foundation as a Nottingham-based online menswear retailer, Albam, otherwise known as Alastair Rae and James Shaw, has bought its clean, classic trench coats, dry wax cagoules and caramel moccasic boots to London in a store inspired by Andrew Geller's late Fifties beach houses in Amagansett and Nantucket, adding tactile leather luggage from Anderson's of Parma and sleek bags from Nivaldo de Lima into the mix. The result? A space where guys can feel at home. 23 Beak Street, London, W1f 9RS. 020 3157 7000. www.albamclothing.com.
