Albam in Wonderland magazine

We recently spotted a nice little piece about Albam Clothing in the May edition of Wonderland magazine. For those of you not familiar with Wonderland magazine it's available in all good bookshops, try Magma or Waterstones.

'As Simple As'

"With more brands launching multiple ranges throughout the year and designs increasingly trans-seasonal, the idea of twice yearly collections seems increasingly outmoded. So, for that matter, does simplicity; basics are ever more a premium market - people are willing to pay top dollar for a plain white t-shirt or shirt that is made well made and uncomplicated, given how difficult such wardrobe essentials seem to be to find. With these two considerations in mind Albam Clothing - a small British catalogue brand purveying those pieces of menswear (sorry ladies - nothing for you here yet) that, try as you might, are remarkably hard to track down: the classic superfine merino knit, the car coat, the classic shirt, the carpenter's shirt, the straight-legged denim jean... None of it branded, none of it over-priced, all of it made to last. The creators of Albam intend to extend the catalogue's range as and when they feel it lacks a certain garment, rather than chasing change for change's sake. Be sure that when those moments come, that garment will almost certainly be one that you're missing."
