A is for Albam....

The Observer Magazine recently featured us in their A to Z of Fashion for the coming year.

"Alastair Rae and James Shaw were so frustrated when they couldn't find the perfect white T-shirt that they set up their own menswear label, Albam, to fill the gap. Featuring casual classics at affordable prices, Albam's small, but perfectly formes collection includes well-made essentials that regular blokes won't shy away from, such as indigo straight-leg jeans for £70; a sellout Fisherman's cagoule for £160, and striped merino sweaters for £75. New for spring is a dapper blazer, available February. And, yes, there's the perfect White T-shirt. It's made from Egyptian cotton and costs a very reasonable £25."

Albam Clothing in GQ

GQ also gave us a little mention in their February issue!

We'll cut straight to the chase: "....wear a pale blue shirt - our favourite new brand Albam Clothing has one in blue fine stripe for £62 (020 3157 7000, www.albamclothing.com).

Well, we've actually sold out of the Fine Stripe Classic Shirt but the new shirt delivery is due end of February.

Arena featured our Fisherman's Cagoule and Straight Leg Jean

Arena have featured our Fisherman's Cagoule and Straight Leg Jean in their February issue. They also wrote:

" James Shaw and Alastair Rae set up Albam last year with the idea of selling the perfect capsule wardrobe - jeans, T-shirt, shirt and jumper - by mail order. Since then, things have expanded rapidly with the introduction of outerwear, accessories and the launch of their first shop, in London's Beak Street. "

" The duo take pride in seeking out small, specialist factories to ensure they achieve a high level of finish on pieces which are fairly priced. "We have a simple aesthetic that is part Scandinavian, part East-coast American." Says Shaw."
